According to Paramour and Thrasherswheat.org, a Neil Young dedicated weblog, Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan are #4 on Paste Magazine's top 100 of the most important songwriters.

Kinda funny considering Tom in print has mocked Neil viciously, for his sometimes mundane lyrics. Oh well, number #4 is darn good.
