The Mimi Fishman Foundation - a non-profit organization founded to raise funds for various charities - is auctioning the dressing room sign from the Appollo show, last November. According to the site, the plaque was donated by Tom Waits.This particular auction is in support of The Station Family Fund for the families of the victims of The Station nightclub fire. On February 20, 2003 the fire in this nightclub in West Warwick (Kent County, Rhode Island) killed 100 people and injured more than 200.
