Nice to see Tom embracing the internet for a change. He looks a bit more invigorated than we've seen him of late.
I guess we just have to keep checking for the European tour. Boo.

Great News !!

He said Spain, and if confirmed it will be his first visit around here.

Thank You TOM, we are all waiting for you here.

why is he still afraid of the coasts?

so, as someone who has never bought tickets to a tom waits show... how do we know when the tickets go on sale?

I'm with cappa. How do I get tickets to any US date?

Have Tom addiction. Will travel.

I should have known not to get my hopes up for a northeastern date. This just sucks. Looks like I'm gonna have to travel 9 hours west to Columbus.

I second that...how do we get tickets?

For a man that writes so much about trainsm I wonder if he's aware that Phoenix and Columbus are the two largest cities without public rail transport...

For tickets, just contact the venue for more information. I'm going to the St. Louis show and the Fox Theatre here deals exclusively with MetroTix.

Tom Waits in my own backyard...I'm KING OF THE WORLD!!

What happened to the August dates that were announced a couple of months ago?

No Chicago date, but hey St. Louis is only 4 hours away. Any idea of how much a ticket may go for?

Alex said...

travis, how did you get those tickets? I called MetroTix and they said they don't have any information on when tickets will be released.

What is the Object? said...

Alex, I don;t think Travis has any tickets. The Fox Theater hasn't even listed a Tom Waits date on their site yet.

Ben said...

No, tickets will have a genuine on sale date. This was merely the hype announcement. Keep checking this blog, AND tomwaits.com, and ticket on sale dates will be revealed.

FYI... for the Columbus show:

Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster only. The onsale is Saturday, May 17 at 10AM. There are no presales or any other way to get tickets other than through Ticketmaster.com, and there will be no CAPA Member presale. This is not a CAPA presentation.

$82.50 for the Ohio show. Ticket Master shows the event, but you aren't able to purchase yet.

Nat said...

Wow, 82.50? Really, Tom?

No Chicago... No Chicago? My heart has been ripped from my chest... I am unable to break away from my summer work duties to make it to St. Louis midweek... I... I may cry.

Got the impression he was ending the tour in Dublin.Happy days!If memory serves he hasn't been to Dublin for 21 years.

Phil said...

Does anybody think he might follow up this tour with some new material? Glitter and Doom would make a great title.

Bernie Franks said...

Yes!

So are these all of the final dates? Meaning no Chicago?

That's fine by me, just a lil road trip, but I'd like to know whether to hold off or not.

A little confused. I can't believe this tour is in support of Ms. Johannson's cover album!?
Somethin new in the offing?

Paul said...

Wouldn't it be incredible if Waits would acknowledge the east coast or Canada? You know, a real "North American" tour, for once?

Steve said...

It's my birthday on July 1st... if anyone needs de give an anonymous gift. A plane from montreal and TW tickets would be appreciated.

Went to Dallas show. Waits requested no AC in the Texas heat. Don't understand. Please help me understand.
