Chicago's Beat Kitchen is programming B1G T1ME, a Tom Waits tribute by Matt Ulery and Loom on Sunday, August 9th. If anyone has more info, don't hesitate to leave a comment.
This show was so great! I couldn't believe how well B1g T1me pulled off some pieces like "Goin' out West" without making them sound hollow. They played to a mostly empty room and I felt bad for all the Rain Dogs in Chicago that were at Lollapalooza or sitting at home watching the news. I wished the show never ended. I am a new fan, but a fan for life, it's like I have my own portal of a way to catch Tom Waits a few times a month. I'm not sure I can gush anymore.
