The monster of Nix, an animated film by Dutch artist/filmmaker Rosto featuring the voice of Tom Waits, had its world premiere at Annecy Animated Film Festival last June and hits the festival screens this summer.

• A quick reminder the 'autobiographical portrait Tom Waits on Tom Waits: Interviews and Encounters (edited by Paul Maher, published by Chicago review press ) is due out on August 1, 2011 ($14,41).
  
• Tom Waits in the Studio by Jake Brown ($15,61) is due out on October 1st.
  
• Waits/Corbijn '77 - '11 the Anton Corbijn photo book from Schirmer-Mosel has already been postponed a few times. The last date we had, was November 14, but now Amazon has it listed for december 26, 2011.

Boulevard of Broken Covers - July 2011

Dutch musician Harry Siers has recorded an entire album of Tom Waits covers into Dutch. You can order the album called Twaalf (Twelve) it at HarrySiers.nl or on Legaldownload or iTunes (where you can find 30 sec. snippets).
