As reported earlier, ANTI- is releasing a 'restored' version of Tom Waits’ entire 1970s Elektra Asylum catalogue digitally and on CD and vinyl.
ANTI just announced the web store will also exclusively offer limited editions of 1.000 clear 180-gram vinyl per title in the US and 1.000 180-gram moss green vinyl in Europe. These special editions are now available for preorder, except for the 'green' (European) versions of Heart of Saturday night and Closing time.

Could all these reissues and appearances (at the Mavis Staples show last year and in the upcoming David Lowery film) be leading up to something bigger, like a tour or new album?
Good question, indeed. Hope so.
However tempting to believe it, Perry Evatt, I have a feeling that the answer to your question is 'Not very likely'. It seems more like Mr Waits has retired and is polishing up his work to leave it behind to the world in the best possible shape.
I'm afraid I agree with Harry Siers. I've been a fan for over 30 years, and find the thought of retirement very sad. In all seriousness I was hoping for a Christmas album, we got Christmas Card from... and throw in New Years Eve. Ten more originals and it's done.
Yep what Harry says.
