Tony Khan buys rights to Ol' 55 as a tribute to Brodie Lee

American businessman and sports executive Tony Khan claims he has bought the rights to the Tom Waits song Ol' 55. The song was used in a tribute to professional wrestler Jonathan (John) Huber, better known as Brodie Lee, who died on December 26, 2020 at the age of 41. In a message on Twitter Khan says he has bought te rights 'in perpetuity' so that tribute 'will last forever'.

Nice of Tom to allow this to happen - if he had a part, which I can't imagine how he didn't.

Thanks for keeping this blog going. I know there's not a lot of Waits news these days - would be great to get another studio album as it's almost been a decade, but as they say any news is good news. Well, hopefully.

Take care!
