Petra Haden and Bill Frisell

The Distributed Computing Industry Association (DCIA) will present president George W. Bush with a symbolic gift in honor of his re-inauguration: the first major album to be licensed for paid distribution via the peer-to-peer file-sharing channel. DCIA member companies INTENT MediaWorks and Sovereign Artists are participating in this P2P promotion of the self-titled album Petra Haden and Bill Frisell. Featuring the vocal harmonies of singer-songwriter-violinist Petra Haden - the daughter of jazz legend Charlie Haden - and the guitar playing of Bill Frisell, the album contains 12 tracks. The album includes songs written by Tom Waits (I Don't Want to Grow Up), Elliot Smith, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, George Gershwin, Stevie Wonder and Henry Mancini, as well as original songs from the duo.

UPDATE (dd Jan. 21 3:49 p.m.): Clarification about the "artists and composers featured on the album". All songs are performed by Haden and Frisell, the other artists mentioned are composers oif the songs covered.

Waits is not on the album, just a cover of I Don't Want to Grow Up. All the others are covers too, only Frisell and Haden.
