Character analysis

Korinne Kessel is publishing a 'comprehensive analysis' examining the many characters that have appeared on Waits albums from Closing Time to Orphans.

Also included are appendices listing Internet resources (I wonder which blogs they will cite), tribute albums and covers, and Waits' contributions to film and theatre.

The Words and Music of Tom Waits, a Praeger publication, should hit bookshelves in December.
