There's a problem with updates through mail and Twitter. I hope to solve this as soon as possible. I think it has something to do with Feedburner, but I have no idea what the actual problem is, so it might take a while.
Feel free to share any suggestions in the comments.

Looking for the best album
As a preparation for his master thesis on Tom Waits Kalle Waaktaar is writing about all Tom Waits albums, ranking them in the process. One from the Heart is at #21.
But what do you think?
UPDATE: I'm afraid I forgot Heartattack and Vine in the list. I can't alter the poll without deleting 273 votes cast already, but if you wanted to vote for that album, just say so in the comments.

Peter Mulvey sings Waits
The Killing Floor's Mike Mellor talked to Peter Mulvey about - amongst other things - Tom Waits. Mulvey also performed the entire Raindogs album last week at the Rendezvous in Turners Falls, MA and at Atwood's in Cambridge, MA.
I know I'm a bit too late with this post, but I wanted to share the info with you anyway.

Thanks Tom
As I mentioned previously, Tom Waits regularly contributes to Bob Dylan's Theme Time Radio Hour. Carnival Saloon has some sound clips online and Aquarium Drunkard now has some mp3 files of those clips to download.

Corbijn book postponed
"We regret to inform you that we have been unable to obtain the following item: Anton Corbijn 'Tom Waits'". That is the message Amazon.co.uk sends me after leaving me several months in the lurch about the hard cover picture book by Dutch photographer Anton Corbijn.
Publisher Schirmer/Mosel, which previoulsy mentioned a release date of October 2009, now claims "this book will be available on Tuesday 18 May, 2010".
