Scarlett's album due next month

According to an interview in Australian newspaper The Daily Telegraph, Scarlett Johansson's cover album is scheduled to hit shelves on October 7th.

"I've always been a huge fan of Tom Waits,'' she says.

"And I had this golden opportunity to make an album however I wanted.

I see Tom Waits as being a composer of modern standards, so it seemed appropriate that I could interpret his songs.

Obviously, it's not an album where I'm trying to sound like him. That would be impossible.

He writes such beautiful songs and incredible melodies, and they're so cinematic and open-ended, so I felt it would be something that I could be inspired by.''
