The famous Sarah V. found a copy of the concert poster for the upcoming Orphans Tour while browsing around. Don't know if it's official or not, but it sure looks it.
Never mind my last question--I see there's a rumor he's putting together a rarities collection which would be called Orhpans. This news of his tour is so fabulous. I've been (literally) dreaming of seeing Tom Waits for years. I thought I would have to fly to Lisbon or Budapest, but I only have to drive 3 hours to Louisville. It doesn't seem real. Maybe it's not just Buzz Fledderjohn, maybe the cities he's touring this summer are also his orphans. Hope everyone gets a good seat!
Also, thanks to Sarah V. for uploading that poster--I stole it for my computer desktop picture, so every time I start up, I'm reminded that I get to see TW perform soon!
(There is no emoticon stong enough to convey how stoked I am.)
For those attending the Nashville show at the Ryman, the Hatch Print Shop has done up event posters for the 3-ish shows that I've seen at the Ryman. I can't remember if they had them for the John Prine show that I saw there in whatever year that was, but it seems like they had them for Gov't Mule several years ago and definitely had them for Lyle Lovett and Elvis Costello shows.

I haven't seen those posters up in Atlanta. But that is the newspaper ad that was run.
Does anyone know why the tour is called Orphans?
