Ticket info

LATEST UPDATE: ATLANTA SOLD OUT

As details about ticket sales for the upcoming tour start to surface, I'll post them here.

DISCLAIMER: I have no inside information, I just collect info posted on the web or in the comments over here, so don't blame me if any details turn out to be wrong.

- So far, it seems as if all sales will be handled by Ticketmaster.

- All orders for shows listed on Ticketmaster seem to be for "will call only" seats. You order tickets and pay with a credit card. The credit card holder picks up the tickets at the box office the night of the preformance, with a photo ID in hand and the credit card used to make the purchase. Upon receiving your tickets, you are directed immediately in the building. No name changes for ticket pick-ups are permitted.

- Some reports say the only 100% "will call" venue is Atlanta and the other venues should also have "non-will call" seats. Tickets for those seats will not be mailed until a week or so before the show. It will not be possible to print these tickets at home, and fed ex delivery is not available.

- There is a 2 ticket limit. Persons who exceed this limit may have any or all of their orders and tickets cancelled without notice by Ticketmaster ,,at its discretion''.

The Akron Civic Theater has confirmed that tickets will go on sale July 14. No other information yet.

louisville also goes on sale july 14 according to the palace's website (www.louisvillepalace.com)...looks like next friday will be a busy day!

Just a little gripe. The tickets for the 2004 European shows were nearly twice the price of the shows on this tour. Whilst I'm sure Mr Waits doesn't dictate the price of his tickets, a few European promoters must have made a lot of money.

That said, for all those lucky enough to get tickets for these dates enjoy yourselves. I look forward to the reviews.

The Louisville Palace Box Office is a clear channel venue? =/

Does anyone have any idea how I can purchase these will call tickets without having a credit card of my own? I am merely 19 I'm afraid, and generally use my parents credit cards to purchase concert tickets, but many of these venues specify that the card holder must pick up the tickets, and they also say that tickets will not be for sale with cash and normal ticketmaster outlets. This is a headache alright.

Anonymous said...

Guy above me, do you have a bank account? You could contact them about getting a debit card. Otherwise you can just apply for a cheap credit card and cancel it quickly I guess.... Or take one of your parents

Anonymous said...

Are the prices starting prices, rough estimates, etc?

Any ideas?

I'm in Canada, but I'd really love to make Detroit since I've never seen him and apparently it's well worth it

Has anyone heard about any Northern California "warm up" shows?

Any info would be appreciated.

Gracias.

So, is this it? Does anyone know if these will be the only eight N. American shows,or whether there will be more announced later? I mean, I'm willing to travel a little to see Tom, but Akron's a little out of my way.

Anonymous said...

Don't plan on any other dates being announced. Many fans have missed out on the last couple of tours thinking more dates would be announced.

Anonymous said...

My parents are willing to let me use their credit cards, but I highly doubt they would drive down to louisville with me to pick up the tickets at will call. What if photocoppied the credit card used to purchase the tickets and/or their driver's liscence?

Anonymous said...

I think that, except for Atlanta, the rest of the venues will have some seats available that are not "will call" and they will mail you actual tickets. They said the best seats are will call so you may have to sit further back, but it's better than nothing. I would not count on photocopies being acceptable.

Anonymous said...

Fantastic! I don't have enough cash right now(nor a debit card if I did) to buy two tickets for either Louisville or Akron. Luckilly, not all tickets are will call. Things may turn out just fine!

Thanks, Henk for gathering all this data... it's nice to have a reliable straydog to turn to.

Just to start a quick rumor:

Marc Ribot has no shows on the same dates as Tom

Guns N' Roses have no dates after July 30 and C2B3 is still not currently active and Tim is back in Primus so it looks like Brain might be available

My guess is same line up as the Europe Real Gone tour... but I'd crap myself if Les Claypool were to replace Larry on even a few songs each show

So is the Memphis, TN show WILL CALL ONLY?

Anonymous said...

And if Memphis, TN is WILL CALL ONLY... does this mean I can only order online using a credit card or something? Is there no way I can just drive over to Memphis and buy the tickets at the Orpheum?

Anonymous said...

I saw Ribot's semi-free schedule too, but he would have to fly Chicago->France->Detroit->New York->Akron in a five day period... I dunno.

I have a feeling Smokey Hormel
will be playing w/ Tom this tour.

Anonymous said...

Um... anybody have any reply for me on that Memphis, TN show? I have the money, but no credit cards. My grandpa has a credit card though. Would that be acceptable?

Anonymous said...

So is Memphis, TN WILL CALL ONLY? So far nothing has showed up on Ticketmaster, but this site says they'll go on sale on the 14th. I'm wondering when I'll be able to find out if I'm SOL or not.

You may have to wait until the show appears on ticketmonster. It very clearly states the rules shown above when you click on the "More Info" button for the show. Unfortunately only three shows are up there now.

tickets go on sale for the nashville show friday, july 14 at noon according to the ryman website.

anyone else have trouble finding "United States of America" in the pull down at Ticket Master? Ended up picking something like "United States of America Outlying Islands" or something like that... Was getting real worried something was wrong and I wasn't gonna get my tickets.

Bret LaGree said...

FYI, you can pick any country in the drop-down menu and get tickets successfully if Ticketmaster only gives you the "international will call" option for ticket delivery.

Anonymous said...

There were major problems w/ ticketmaster today...I have an account w/ ticketmaster and signed in before looking for tix...then, there was only one "will-call" option and it was for residents outside of the U.S. When I chose "U.S. outlying terr." ticketmaster asked for my credit card and billing information because it did not recognize me....for giggles, I chose another sow and performer to see what would happen and my account information correctly popped up after I chose tickets....ticketmaster better get their act together...

Anonymous said...

yes - same shit happenened to me & i foolishly hit 'back' to try and select something besides "int'l will call" & lost my first tix! luckily, got two more after cussing & trying a couple more times.

very psyched now to see TW for 1st time and in my home state!

Anonymous said...

I had (and am having) the eact same problem. Thought you'd guys get a kick out of the word I had to enter to progress at the Ticketmaster sight: "Starve"!

Anonymous said...

They just fixed the Will Call problem - got my tix. Got Georgia on my mind!!!! Going to see THE man!

Anonymous said...

also, @ 10:00 am...it still said "More info" but if you clicked it, tickets came up...@ 10:05 it finally said "find tickets"

I need help from Tom's fan from Toronto area. I am leaving for Russia on August 1. I can find the news about Toronto concert on this web-site or on Ticketmaster while staying there, but there will be no chance for me to buy a ticket.
If somebody can help me to buy a ticket for Toronto show (when it will go on sale) I will be very greatful to you.
I'll come back from Russia anytime for the show in Toronto if there will be a ticket. If someone can help me please email me at daniil.grigoriev@rambler.ru
Thank you.
Dan.

there is no Toronto show

Anonymous said...

Okay, so it looks like ALL shows are will call only, and assuming you can only buy tickets with credit cards, not cash at ticketmaster outlets (can anyone confirm or deny this?), than the person whose credit card I used HAS to pick up the tickets with me. But do they have to go into the show?

Anonymous said...

once you pick up will call tickets, they will make you go directly inside. You wouldn't be able to go back into the crowd and possibly sell your tickets to a scalper (or scalp them yourself).

Anonymous said...

I guess it's either a pain to get in the door and the tickets are face value, or they make it easy and your tickets are a fortune on ebay or stub hub.

Anonymous said...

does anyone know how quickly the atlanta show sold out today? as in, within minutes or hours?

Anonymous said...

I called the Orpheum last night (Saturday) and asked about picking up tickets live, in person, come July 14th at 10am with cash and the fellow (Dustin) on the phone said there was no problem.

I'm gonna call back again Monday, though, to make sure. I don't have a credit card. Nobody I know has a credit card.

On Brain's website sometime ago, it stated he would be touring with Tom Waits in fall of 2006.

Anonymous said...

Dude, I bet the box office guy wasn't given the word on how these tickets are being sold. You should find anyone with a credit card to help you out before Friday.

Are the general admission tickets for the Tabernacle "standing room" (i.e. no seats)?

Anonymous said...

"Are the general admission tickets for the Tabernacle "standing room" (i.e. no seats)?"

Yes.

Anonymous said...

In response to "inability" I heard from others there were no tix available by 10:25 for Atlanta.

Anonymous said...

Gen Admin at the Tabernacle is standing room only. They do have a nice slanted floor so you don't have to be right up front to get a good view.

Anonymous said...

I actually do have 2 extra tickets to the Atlanta show (My husband got 2 tickets and I got 2 tickets). One person could go as a "guest" for each of us, then we could part ways once we get inside? Anyone interested? I don't want to make this too complicated.

Anonymous said...

I looked on ebay and one Atlanta ticket was sold yesterday for $202.50!!!
There was another listed today that had got ablove $150 when I last looked (it still had more than 9 days to run on the sale and had over 150 hits!) and now it is gone? I have no idea why ...
Anyone know anything more?

Anonymous said...

For the person with the 2 extra tickets in atlanta, I am extremely interested = please contact me erichartsfield@hotmail.com

thanks so much~
Eric

I went to my bank and got a debit card just so I could buy tickets on friday.

and I quote: "wait... you got a debit card, just so you could see Tom Waits?"

She doesn't understand me... =)

Chicago Raindog ticket request forms are in the process of going out! I got mine, and got it submitted already! Woohoo!

i have two tix for asheville if any one is interested 828-231-2223

Wheeeeee! Look at all the pairs of tickets being sold on Ebay for $300 a pop. All Hail the almighty scalpers. Undoubtedly, these ticket buyers (can you really blame them?) are the same people who shout out ROMEO IS BLEEDING! in the middle of one of Tom's tender piano soliloquys. so, so disappointing.

Anonymous said...

sorry, I just need to vent. I almost sent a threatening e-mail to one of the Ebay sellers before thinking better of it. At last count, two and a half hours after tickets went on sale, there were 114 tickets up for auction for the Chicago show alone. The highest price paid so far, $625 for a pair in Row A of the Balcony. Worth It? Yes, but I don't want to have to sit next to this guy. I'm done.

Hey there, I am looking for two tix for Asheville...Joel 649-1617 or 689-4070 or joel@zumacoffee.com

General Admission Tickets are back up for Atlanta (Will Call only). I just snagged two!!!

My cell phone number is 865-591-0056. That's so you can arrange to buy me a drink before the show if you get some tickets thanks to my info.

Cheers,
