nope - there's definitely something amiss with the site - still getting errors, and when I fill out the contact form the email doesn't get sent either - more errors on screen. It's not a browser problem - I've tried it in all the main browsers - it appears to be a server side problem.
I'm wondering if it's only available for US readers. Anyone been able to access it from Europe?
Again, if anyone has the download and can post it somwhere public - I can even post it on my website if someone wants to send me the file - that'd be just great!
To whom it may concern, here's an advance preview of the as yet unreleased Southside Johnny album, 'Grapefruit Moon': 'Walk Away', a duet with Waits himself:
I am downloading it from iTunes but would like to thank "tall", on behalf of all for him generously giving his time. And of course, many thanks to all who made this podcast possible! I can't believe we've got it, an "official" live recording of one of these fantastic shows.
I am sure a live album will follow, and will be among the first to pre-order! :)
this show sounds great. I was there and it was the best show i have in my 31 years. i saw tom 2 years ago and this is 10 times the show i saw then. i am sitting here with my rocks glass full of Bourbon. and reliving the show. thanks to bob bolin and NPR for there support of live music. it is great the world get to relive it together
Tom, Kathleen, the band, Fox Theater, ANTI, NPR & iTunes: Thank you so much for the sensational gift (7/5/8 Atlanta full concert podcast). The set, sound and performance are outstanding. I enjoy the show immensely .. as do family and friends who were unable to make the Denver to Tulsa pilgrimage with me. Raindogs rejoice!
There are also some pictures from the show at the NPR site ( http://www.npr.org/music/liveconcerts/2008/waits/waits_slide/index.html ). I had a great show. Thanks Tom for coming to Atlanta twice in the last 3 years. Thanks Eyeball and everyone else for the wonderful site and info!
By the way, 'Cause Of It All' is not in fact the name of the song Tom combines with 'Til The Money Runs Out' - it's 'Who's Been Talkin' by Chester 'Howlin' Wolf' Burnett.
@dr pod: If I remember correctly, the Howling Wolf tune "Who's Been Talking" acutally is sometimes called "The Cause of It All" on later repackagings of Wolf's material (it contains the lyric "I was the causin' of it all"). Or am I mistaken ...?
Sounds about right to me - old blues numbers like that (not to mention songs with a line repeated as much as the original title) often go by many names. I only spotted it today when looking into the song's origin. No matter, I'm just bathing in the glory of the recording! :)
What this reminds me off is when you hear some old great doing a live album that gets kind of overdone sound wise. Kind of like they have lost the original soul of the song. But where this is kind of along those lines the one thing that makes this different is that this was done the right way by someone that has only gotten better each year. This so far has been an amazing listen. This man is just so damn good. Am I ramblin'? Damn you all that got to see him on this tour.
I need a recording of "Annie's Back in Town" Can't find a recording anywhere. Son's been playing it on the piano from the Anthology...saw a clip on youtube, but want a hardcopy.......

How'd you do it? I'm just getting a more or less blank NPR page with no files, no nothing. I've got it streaming, but don't want to lose it. Help!
Hi - I'm just getting a page with errors ... any chance someone can upload the file to box.net or some other online storage facility? Thanks!!
Podcast link seems to be empty. Could any of you that already have it share it somewhere like shareaza or similar. And post the link. Thank You.
Try the following ...
The end of the link seems to go missing in these comments box, so copy the first part and paste it into a new window and then copy the second.

What are the chances of this being released as an official TW album in this modern internet age? It's a corker. Hope Dublin 31st July is as good..
my only complaint is that it seems the bass (as in the equalizer) isn't so hot.

Thanks for turning me on to this! It's amazing - made me feel like I was there in the audience again
Thank you from someone who was nowhere near any of the concert dates. Makes me feel a little less left out.
I can't stop this great recording playing all time in my ipod.
Thanks to everyone ho made this possible.
Do any else of you also think that this must/should/could be released officially as a new Tom Waits CD ?
I would like to have this recording on cd with a nice package, lots of images, and some glitter and doom looking artwork.
what a show. i was thrilled to be there, almost as thrilled to be able to re-live it.
thanks for getting the word out.

I re-read that twice, hammye, and it still makes no sense. Indeed, it's a syntactic quagmire.
