It's poll time

How about another poll while we are all waiting for some real news? The dust has settled after the Glitter and Doom tour, so tell us which of the latest tours you liked best.

UPDATE: I added the '06 Orphans tour, which should have been there in the first place, of course. Sadly this means you will have to vote again... Sorry for wasting another 10 seconds of your life.

Blog note: I can't seem to get Blogger to talk English (help would be appreciated) so to help all you non-Dutch speaking readers:
"Je stem wijzigen" means "Change your vote", "Aantal stemmen tot nu toe" is "Number of votes so far" and "Dagen waarop je nog kunt stemmen" is "Days left to vote".

My favourite tour is always going to be the first I saw. I will never forget the Grand Rex in Paris in 2000.

I agree Nigel,

My first Waitsconcert was Mule variations Paris,
That was like they say 'a religious experience'.

Real Gone (Antwerp) was, looking back, a bit dissapointing.

G&D (Milan) was again amaaaaaaaazing.
But Like I said, my first one... Hard to top that.

Couldn't agree more Nigel & Stefan. It will be different for everyone. For me, first saw TW at the Healing the Divide concert in NY where he played with Kronos. It was a transcendent experience (oh yeah, the Dalai Lama spoke as well ...)

But if we are talking about "regular" touring, I had to vote for Real Gone because I simply cannot fathom how anything can be better than seeing one show in Akron and then driving to the House of Blues in Cleveland for a second effort! Truly one of the greatest nights

Glitter and Doom was my first - late to the party, but WHAT a party. Best gig I've EVER seen.

On a different note - anyone know about the status of the Tom Waits Library? It's been offline for weeks now, I think...

I liked the Orphans' because I didn't hear the same set list @ 4 straight shows. Prior to that,I didn't have internet and no tom tours in the mountains of western north carolina

About the language,
No need to worry.
Blogger talk in several languages. Yours is in Dutch, mine is Turkish.
Everybody see it in his blogger language.

@OTELBULUR.com: I'd never figured that out - but it makes sense. Thanks for clearing this up.

Hey Eyeball Kid, Where's the magnificent Big Time tour from 1987? That should be on your list too (last time he played Scotland before Glitter and Doom too)
