Tom Waits was an early collaborator back in the mid-'80s. I didn't realize until later that he'd never written with anyone else before except his wife, Kathleen. He's a one-off lovely guy and one of the most original writers. In the back of my mind I always thought it would be really interesting to work with him.The book then continues with Tom Waits' recollection of how That Feel, the track which ended up on Bone Machine, came about.
As far as I can tell not a word about Rain Dogs, on which Richards played guitar and/or sang backing vocals on Big Black Mariah, Union Square and Blind Love.

Surely the reference to collaboration in the "mid 1980s" means the work they did together on Rain Dogs?
