Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction

Tom Waits played four songs at his induction in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, yesterday:

  • Make it Rain
  • Raindogs
  • House where Nobody Lives
  • Get Behind the Mule (with Neil Young)

A quote from the ceremony:
"They say that I have no hits and that I'm difficult to work with and they say that like it's a bad thing."

Tom Waits ended his acceptance speech with the words "This has been very encouraging."

My wife couldn't stop laughing..."This has been very encouraging," this said after he basically said the award was as useless as the key to the city of El Paso. Not sure why Tom even showed up, lots of musicians just don't show...glad he did though, live footage of the man is priceless.
