Tom Waits Library closed

Some sad news: The Tom Waits Library will no longer be updated. For the moment, the site is still available, but I don't know for how long.

Most of you probably visited the site in the past few years, so you know what we will be missing...

If you can contact the owner, I'm willing to migrate the site to my server so all the content will remain archived and accessible. Horatio.baltz@gmail.com

Bless Pieter for all his work. I know there are Dogs who want to keep it alive ...

The library has been such a useful place to visit form time to time, thanks Horatio for your proposal I hope it can be set up, thanks Pieter for all your work. If there's something we can do to keep it alive and kicking let us know, I bete there's a good bunch of people that would like to help.

Does Eyeball Kid know why it is being closed? Where is all this archive going if it does disappear? People save collections and libraries in the real world, so why not the virtual world too? Please let's get together and sort this out--there are enough fans to form a campaign.

"Tom Waits Library" is the only place where philological work on the lyrics of Tom Waits has been done. The merit in terms of literary studies is not to measure.

Would be a disaster if all this invaluable information was lost to us and future fans - superb site - great reference stop. Too much effort was put in for it to simply disappear

I wasn't lazy (or otherwise busy), so I downloaded the site... page by page.

I just went to the tomwiatslibrary and checked the updates and I saw where the owner is wanting to close the site. I for one would hate for all that hard work to go away. If Horatio can keep it going that would be wonderful. So much work went into what is found there it would be a terrible loss. Is there anything else other fans could do to help keep the site up?

I hope this work will not be lost for posterity. I was made with so much love I think and it was loved by many.

Well this is sad, I hope the problem will be solved soon. I´m working on a Czech translation of Bone Machine lyrics (nearly done by now) and I´d be more than willing to do other albums as well. Anyway, translating those texts is a superb way to see like three layers of meaning in some segments and the comments are just irreplacable source of information..
