This is on of the few time that money doesn't matter to me. The tickets could be £200 and still my the only choice I'd have to make is which venue.
Any new on times the tickets go on sale?

No London date is surprising. However, I'm out of the country for the Scotland and Dublin dates. So no Tom for me. Gutted. :(

I'm aiming for Edinburgh and fortunately I have the day off work on the 27th so I can sit frantically on the phone and with my laptop at the same time! I considered the Grand Rex in Paris as I saw Tom play there in 2000 for the Mule Variations tour and it's a fabulous small intimate venue. How about you Henk? You going to make any of the shows in between all your hard work on this excellent blog?

I was thinking about Barcelona, but I might go to Dublin (3 nights! :)) instead. And as Paris is the closest for me, I wouldn't mind going there either...

It'll all depend on work and family. And the availability of tickets.

Hi Eyeball Kid,
I´m thinking about going to San Sebastian and Milan - and it would be a real pleasure for me to invite you to one of the shows if you can make it there (and if I can get the tickets...). That would be an opportunitiy to give you something back for all your work you did in the last years to keep us informed!

The presale to the concerts in Milano should begin tomorrow, but theres nothing on ticketone's homepage???

Anyone got any idea where you can buy tickets? Is it direct from the venues or is there a ticket agency involved? And are we likely to have a 'Will Call' system in place to deter touts or will I end up having to pay four or five times the face value again? Questions, questions.

The Eyeball Kid said...

@Ben: check
eyeballkid.eu/glitteranddoom or the ANTI blog for som more details.

@peterand: It took them some time to get there for the US tickets as well, so I wouldn't worry yet.

The Eyeball Kid said...

@peterand: try the search function. You'l come up with this

I'll try to go to either the Paris show or one of the Edinburgh shows. Paris nearer but ordering tickets might be a problem from a French language site especially when trying to get the best seats possible. I just wish tickets weren't so expensive. 2 tickets would cost me double what I paid for Iron Maiden's show at Twickenham Stadium!

Eddie Grace said...

Wow! Thanks Eyeball Kid.

*prays for luck in getting tickets*

Zorak said...

Indeed, Ben. We're all gonna need once tickets go on sale!

Have seen it. There wasnt anything this morning. Thanks anyway

So, really... how do we get internet presale tickets tomorrow for Milan. I don't speak italian and can't understand this website. I am American and will be in Europe this summer, missing the American TW shows... what do i DO!?

Rockenrollerickstoll:

there is a link at the top right corner of ticketone that translates to english. you can also use an online translator like worldlingo.com. Here is a link to the Tom Waits page in English: http://www.ticketone.it/newsRelated.jsp?cdNews=191317&idCatRel=605
Better register on the site as the tickets go on sale shortly (9am Italy time)...buona fortuna!

Good luck to all the the European raindogs in getting tix. Saw his Holiness Tom in 99 in NYC, my life was forever changed. I'm sure all of yours will be too. :)

I got ticket for the Milan Gig this morning but almost $240 a ticket!

You've got to be joking.

I just paid 301 euros for 2 tickets. Thats $476 USD.

Someone's is having a laugh.

Come on, watcher. The man's playing theatres - I allmost payed the same to see the Stones two years ago on a grass field holding 60.000. I'm going to see Lou Reed in july as well, and he's around 180 $ a piece. It's not extraordinary

Mr T Wister said...

Appreciate the comment peterand (and your taste in music) but $240 a pop just seems incompatible with the $85 a ticket in the US.

Unknown said...

Thats right, watcher, but things are cheaper in the US - the gas is half price - and people are still complaining ;)

Tickets could have cost the double, and I would still have payed. I haven't seen Tom since last time he played in Copenhagen in '85. Last time he was in Europe, it was almost impossible to get tickets because of black market sharks. A day after the internet sale, tickets worth 100 Euros cost 400 on ebay. That I wouldn't pay - I'd rather pay Tom...

Hi!

Im planning to go to the July 21 & 22 - PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC concert.

I would be very grateful for the info on:

1.How and where to get the tickets (I live in England - will they be deliverd here or will I have to collect them before the concert - and any other useful things that I should know about the www.ticketpro.cz - thanks!)
2.Info about the best seats in Kongresové centrum Praha ( i know that they have 3 types of tickets: regular 1, 2 and VIP - anyone been there and can tell me a bit about it?) I would be also thankful for the general info about Congres Hall - for example: will I be able to see Mr. Waits even from the last seats?

3. And the last question. Is it difficult to get from the Prague airport to Kongresové centrum Praha

Im sorry, my questions may seem stupid but Im just very, very nervous, hardly ever use internet, never buy anything via internet, never been to Prague and really want to get the tickets.

jerseyraindog said...

Lamp, Can't tell you anything about the concert venue but you shouldn't have any trouble getting into Prague from the airport - there's a regular shuttle bus and there are taxis if you're pushed for time.

google the concert hall name and eventually you'll work out the distances. Turns out it's got pretty good acoustics though http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=cs&u=http://www.kcp.cz/&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=1&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3DKongresov%25C3%25A9%2Bcentrum%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26hs%3DjpB%26pwst%3D1

Anyone got tickets for Paris yet? I bought some this morning but haven't got the confirmation email and can't see an order history section on the GDP website to check my order. At least I have a confirmation page generated by the website. Anyone know how to check the order on the website?

Unknown said...

jake, have you checked your spamfilter? My confirmation mail were caught there...

I have a ticket for Paris now on the 24th! Pretty excited as I saw Tom in Paris in 2000 during the Mule Variations tour and it's a beautiful venue. Can anyone recommend a reasonable cheap hotel in the vicinity? And are there any other raindogs here who want to meet up beforehand?

Unknown said...

Hi there,

Question for any dutch or otherwise non-French raindogs.

I am trying to order tickets for the show in France. Do you know if there is any other method of payment besides credit card?

Thanks in advance.

Burntfaced Jake said...

Thanks, peter_and. Managed to retrieve the confirmation email. Has anyone got a link to a seating plan of the Grand Rex? Trying to work out what the view will be like.

jerseyraindog said...
